Coming to Islam

Coming to Islam series

Introduction

Turning from another religion to Islam is not a mean feat. To totally accept the religion, it's way of life and it's belief is not always easy.

Over the years, the number of people who have turned towards Islam has been astonishing even in the midst of all the hate and misconception surrounding the religion. These situations are especially tougher for the women. Misinformed general public usually carry the notion that Muslim women are deprived and oppressed hence it is usually a joy seeing a sister accept the Muslim faith.

In this blog series, I have decided to conduct a series of interviews with sisters who recent accepted Islam. This is with the aim of finding out their motive for joining, their motivation and reason. In a world filled with wrong misgivings, it is very important to understand why an average woman would come to accept the great religion.

I will also be following up on the positive changes they would have probably experienced in their lives since joining Islam. The negative one's will be talked about as well even though they are predictable such as family and friends probably distancing themselves from the newly converted sister's. Some even get disowned by their families at first. I will also seek out the level of support these sisters were offered by their new Muslim community, if it has been positive and encouraging or if it hasn't been as expected or up to standard. Everything will be laid out unbiased in plain site.

I will ensure to interview a lot of sisters from different regions and different backgrounds, finding out all there is to know about their recent connection with Islam.

Make sure to go with us this amazing blog series.
